}� HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> L , Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial Testing Design and Operation <br /> ss <br /> Apnl l 8, 2005 <br /> Mr Joe Aldridge ADR 9 <br /> Ultramar Inc <br /> 685 West Third Street <br /> Hanford, California 93230 PERP1,IE5 <br /> Subject Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> First Quarter 2005 <br /> Abdelwahed Facility <br /> Ultramar No 13792 <br /> 2255 South Airport Way, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Aldridge <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this report which documents results of <br /> first quarter 2005 groundwater monitoring at the subject site located in San Joaquin County <br /> as shown on Figure 1 There are eight groundwater monitoring wells (MW-I duough MW- <br /> 8), two vapor extraction wells (VW-1 and VW-2) and one air sparge well (SW-1) associated <br /> with the site as shown on Figuie 2 These wells are Iocated on site except for monitonng <br /> wells MW-5 and MW-6, located off site to the east and monitoring well MW-7, located off <br /> site to the south Wells MW-5 through MW-8, VW-1, VW-2 and SW-1 were installed during <br /> first quarter 2005 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Groundwater monitoring activities were conducted by Horizon on March 15 and 16, 2005 <br /> according to Horizon Field Methods and Procedures (Attachment A) Monitoring activities <br /> included measurement of static groundwater level, purging groundwater from the wells, <br /> collection of groundwater samples, and preparation and delivery of the samples to the <br /> analytical laboratory <br /> The depth to groundwater was measured to the nearest 0 01 foot from the top-of-casing <br /> (TOC) in wells MW-1 through MW-8, VW-1, VW-2 and SW-1 The physical parameters <br /> conductivity, pH and temperature of the groundwater were monitored with field <br /> instrumentation during the purging process The visual characteristics of the groundwater <br /> were also noted during the purging process Field groundwater le-Vel and purge data were <br /> recorded on Horizon Monitoring Well Data Sheets (Attachment B) <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the ;cells MW-1 through MW-8, VW-1, VW-2 <br /> and SW-1 The groundwater samples were submitted, under chain-of-custody <br /> documentation, to Kiff Analytical (Kift), a California-certified analytical laboratory (FLAP <br /> No 2236) located in Davis, California and were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as <br /> 7 <br /> 4970 Windploy Drive #C5 - EI Dorado Hills CA 95762 - (916)939-2170 - FAX(916)939-2172 <br /> PO Box 5283 - Bakersfield CA 93388 - (661)589-8389 - FAX (661)589-1456 <br />
