�I <br /> tia <br /> i <br /> LI <br /> i <br /> APPENDIX VI <br /> Monitoring Well Development Procedure <br /> After construction of the monitoring wells was complete, each well w�is developed according tc, the <br /> following procedure. <br /> ~ 1. Over-pumping of eaclt weil was performed utilizing a hand bailer. Groundwater extracted from <br /> each wel! was containerized in separate 55-gallon drums. <br /> 2. A surge block was then utilized on each well to force the groundwater in the well back and <br /> forth through the well screen in order to draw drilling-induced .sediments into the well for removal <br /> and to enable the filter media to set up around the well. <br /> 3. The silt-laden groundwater was then extracced from each well until it was determined that <br /> turbidity in the well had been reduced. Approximately 30 to 40 gallons of water were removed <br /> from each well and containerized during the development process. <br /> i <br /> w. 4. Containerized water determined to not be impacted by the contamination was subsequently <br /> disposed of down the storm drain.
