PHILIP <br /> Environmental Services Group <br /> North Central Region <br /> March 20, 1996 <br /> CTI102/408 0077 <br /> Ms Margaret Lagono <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division- Site Mitigation Unit <br /> P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201-0388 <br /> I <br /> Subject: QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br />' First Quarter 1996 <br /> Rainbo Baking Company/Earthgrains Facility <br /> 2651 South Airport Way, Stockton, California <br />' Dear Ms Lagono <br /> Philip Environmental Services Corporation (Philip), formerly Burlington Environmental <br /> Inc , is pleased to submit the following quarterly monitoring report for the Rainbo Baking <br /> Company/Earthgrains facility, located at 2651 South Airport Way in Stockton, California <br /> The groundwater monitoring and sampling for this first quarter event were conducted by <br /> Philip on February 12 and 13, 1996 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is a bakery products plant located at 2651 South Airport Way in Stockton, <br /> California (see Figure 1, Site Location Map) The plant is situated within Sections 22 and <br /> 23, Township I North, Range 6 East of the Mount Diablo Base and Meridian The site <br /> has an elevation of approximately 17 feet relative to mean sea level (MSL) <br />' The developed portion of the facility consists of approximately seven acres, is relatively <br /> flat lying, and is almost entirely covered with asphalt and concrete The main facility <br /> building covers approximately two acres <br />' An approximately 1,000-foot-long stormwater drainage ditch extends westerly from the <br /> facility to an intermittent, south-flowing drainage canal This canal flows into Duck <br /> Creek, which is located approximately 900 feet south of the plant <br /> The facility previously had four petroleum hydrocarbon underground storage tanks <br /> (USTs) (see Figure 2, Site Plan) The former 10,000-gallon diesel-fuel tank and two <br /> 6,000-gallon gasoline tanks were located near the southwest corner of the main building <br /> r <br />' E 1CTi 10211QTR96 DOC <br /> PHILIP ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES CORPORATION <br /> 210 West Sand Bank Road-PO Box 230-Columbia,IL 62236-0230 <br /> (618)281-7173.(800)733-7173-Fax(618)281-5120 <br />
