16
5.2 Sparging Blowers
Sparging Blowers B-3 and B-4 are Burlington PARTS Model
1.2129-M prefabricated skid -mounted units. Each blower unit uses
a positive displacement blower capable of producing 120 SCFM at
five pounds per square inch (psi).
The blower units are equipped with an influent filter,
pressure relief valve, flow meter, silencer, and all necessary
valves and pressure gauges. The influent filter is designed to
remove particulates prior to the air entering the blower. The
pressure relief valve is a safety device to prevent the blower from
operating under abnormally high pressure conditions in the event of
a blockage in the piping to the sparge wells.
5.3 Equipment Trailer
N An equipment trailer approximately 45 feet in length and 8
feet in width contains all above -grade remediation equipment and
' controls.
A positive pressure ventilation system is installed in the
trailer to reduce the classification of the trailer from a
' potential Class I, Division 2 designation to a nonhazardous
classification and to reduce the temperature in the trailer in the
tsummer. The trailer is also equipped with lighting and two 110 -
volt duplex electrical receptacles.
' The trailer is equipped with two locking doors with panic bars
on each end of the trailer. The rear of the trailer has a locking
roll -up door wide enough for installation and removal of the
blowers.
07/94/1213821125997/REM REP/1 July 1, 1994 9 26am
