File No 2070 2
22 June 1993
Page 3
Table 11 summarizes the results of the laboratory analyses Figure 2 illustrates the locations of the
monitoring wells and their corresponding contaminant concentrations A copy of the laboratory data
is included in Appendix 1
6 0 Disposition of Pui ged Well Water
Groundwater purged from the monitoring well,; was containerized in a 55-gallon drum and stored on
the site Following receipt of the analytical data, Ramos Environmental Services of West Sacramento
' collected and disposed of the drummed water on 4 June 1993 as a RCRA hazardous waste liquid
under Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest number 92508765
' 7 0 Conclusions
The following conclusions are bated on data obtained during the tirst quarter 1993 sampling as well
as prior samplings
1) The local flow direction of the groundwater was determined to be toward the
east/northeast with a gradient of 0 0038 tint This flow direction and gradient is consistent
with those determined during prior samplings
2) The groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-1, located in the center of
the prior tank cluster, had 196 parts per million pc,tiolcum hydrocarbons as gasoline No
diesel fuel or motor oil was detCcted Prior samplings have also detected gasoline, but at
lower concentrations
3) The groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-6, located approximately 230
' feet northwest of the prior tank cluster, had no detectable petroleum hydrocarbons This is
consistent with prior samplings Monitoring well MW-6 is the up-gradient control well
4) The groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-8, located approximately 170
feet east of the prior tank cluster, had no detectable petroleum hydrocarbons This is
consistent with prior sampling% Monitoring well MW-8 is the down-gradient control well
' 5) Lead was detected in the groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-1 at
a concentration of 0 18 parts per million Prier samplings have also detected lead in this well
The United States Environmental Protection Agency Primary Maximum Contaminant Level
(MCL)1 for lead is 0 015 parts per million
6) No lead was detected in the groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-6 ;
and MW-8 during this sampling Prior samplings have also tailed to detected lead in either
of these two wells
t A Compilation of W iter QLIAIN(710,1IS Septimt'lr`r 1991 Siate of caiirornia Rc-gional water QUAIIN Control Board Primary MCL
for lead for health and humin wLiHie
{ rt 1( ANDERSON
CONSULTING NG
GROUP
