The code <br /> which is applicable to underground storage tanks and legislates responsibility to <br /> remediate releases to the environment of petroleum hydrocarbons, in California, is the <br /> Health and Safety Cade. The Health and Safety Code was established to preserve public <br /> health and safety and was effective ;September 19, 1939.
