3i . ii Seven times the volume of the standing water level in the well were bailed, using a 4" bailerl[with a ball and seat, and placed in drums on site, about 53 gals . The water was slightly muddy, but had no odor or taste . Fluid level re- mained constant, showing very good transmissivity . After bailing the above volume, four sample vials of water were collected, checked for bubbles, labeled,.; placed in the ice chest and hand delivered to FG L on site ., Two were designated to be tested for HTEX and two to beltested for TPH(G) . k Monitor Well # 2 The water level Well # 2 was located at 10 ' 1 . 8" (10. 151 ) . The level was measured four times for accuracy. No floating product was found. Converting to the 100' standard, the water level was 88 .821 . Fifty three gals . of water were bailedlfrom this well ; again, approximating seven volumesllof the standing water level in the casing. The water was somewhat cloudy but had no odor or taste. The fluid level remained constant as in MW # 3 . Four vials of water were collected, labeled, and placed in the cooler as previously described. Monitor Well # 1 I� The water level in Well # 1 was located at 10 ' 0" ( 10.001 ) , ° below the well head, giving a water ; level of 86 . 59 ' with reference to the 100 ' standard. Once again , about seven volumes ofj[the ,standing water level in the casing was bailed from the well (53--55 gals . ) . The water recovered was cleaner than that from the other two wells, although some cloudiness was,1present. The water had . no odor or taste . The fluid level remained constant as in the other two wells . Four vials of water were collected, labeled, and placed in the cooler as previously described. Water Sample Collecting, May 9, 1991 Dennis Allen and Martin Thorpe pinked ,{up a cooler with blue ice and one dozen sterile vials from FGL and arrived at the site at 10:00 AM. Harlan Knoll arrived at about 10 :45 ..AM. Owing to the multiple runs madelon the previous site visit, it was not thought necessaryll toyrecord the water levels again. Chain-of-Custody procedures were used for all three wells . The bailer used was cleaned with tap water between uses, as well as the bailerrope. This was thought to be sufficient as the prior tests'� (both soils and water) had shown no contamination at the detection limits in any of the wells .
