Margaret Lagorio [EH]
From: Margaret Lagorio [EH]
Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2008 11:04 AM
To: 'michael.schulman@parsons.com'
Subject: PG&E site at 26250 S.Airport Way, Manteca
Attachments: Scanned_.pdf
1
Scanned_.pdf(205
KB)
Michael,
Attached are the permit for the destruction of the monitoring wells at the above site with
the conditions that PZ3 is overbored and grouted and that the other wells to be pressure
grouted are excavated around, the casing cut 2 .5 feet below grade and a mushroom cap of
grout placed over the cut casing. The sections of San Joaquin County Well Standards on
destruction of monitoring wells are also provided. Section 13.17.6 requires wells located
in an area of contamination be destroyed by removing all material within the original
borehole (overboring) . Sections 12.17.12 and 13 .17.13 have the requirements for pressure
grouting. A table of soil sample results from wells and borings at the site is also
included that shows soil contamination when PZ3 was installed. This well also has some
contamination in the groundwater sample results. If you have questions please contact me.
In addition, please let me know as soon as possible when the work is scheduled to be
performed so our staff can inspect the destructions.
Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Program Coordinator Unit IV
600 E. Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202
(209) 468-3449
