Notification#1600-2018-0116-R3 Streambed Alteration Agreement Page 5 of 16 • Chinook Salmon (winter-run) (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha), State-listed as Endangered • Delta Smelt (Hypomesus transpacificus), State-listed as Endangered • Sacramento Splittail (Pogonichthys macrolepidotus), State Species of Special Concern • Benthic invertebrates • Nesting birds • Roosting bats • Water quality The adverse effects the project could have on the fish or wildlife resources identified above include: • Temporary increased water turbidity due to soil disturbance and barge movement • Temporary water contamination • Temporary increased noise disturbance and vibrations • Temporary loss of aquatic species' habitat, including migration corridors • Direct impacts from boring on benthic invertebrates • Accidental release of hazardous chemicals • Mortality of fish • Disruption to nesting bird behaviors and activities • Displacement of roosting bats • Mortality of benthic inverts • Disruption to fish migration and spawning activity MEASURES TO PROTECT FISH AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES 1. Administrative Measures Permittee shall meet each administrative requirement described below. 1.1 Notification of Work Initiation/Completion. Permittee shall notify CDFW 48 hours prior to the initiation of construction and 48 hours following completion of work. 1.2 Documentation at Project Site. Permittee shall make the Agreement, any extensions and amendments to the Agreement, and all related notification materials and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, readily available at the project site at all times and shall be presented to CDFW personnel, or personnel from another state, federal, or local agency upon request. 1.3 Providing Agreement to Persons at Project Site. Permittee shall provide copies of the Agreement and any extensions and amendments to the Agreement to all persons who will be working on the project at the project site on behalf of Permittee, including but not limited to contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and monitors.
