Kleinfelder shall document that each employee has received and understood the required <br />training. Records containing the identity of the contract employee, the date of training <br />and any exams used to verify that the employee understood the training are stored as per <br />Section 2.4 of this Manual. <br />3.26.4.4 Trade Secret/Process Secret Information <br />A trade secret is any confidential formula, pattern, process, device, information, or <br />compilation of information that is used in a business environment that gives a business <br />the opportunity to obtain an advantage over competitors who do not know or use it. All <br />Kleinfelder and subcontractor personnel shall hold all information provided to them <br />regarding specific chemicals and processes to which they have been given access as <br />proprietary trade secrets, and disclosure of any such information is prohibited, except in <br />the instance of the administration of emergency medical treatment. <br />3.27 OVER/NEAR WATER WORK PROGRAM <br />3.27.1 Scope and applicability <br />This Policy establishes minimum safety requirements and procedures for all Kleinfelder <br />personnel who may perform work on, near, or over water. <br />3.27.2 Goals and Objectives <br />In an effort to reduce the risk and hazards of drowning or other serious injury due to <br />exposure to water, this policy establishes standard methods for protection for Kleinfelder <br />employees and its subcontractors. The activities, protective measures, and personal <br />floatation devices described within establish the minimum hazard evaluation and <br />mitigation practices for personnel involved in the planning and execution of field activities <br />where drowning is a concern. <br />Each application of this policy shall be carefully reviewed by operations management in <br />consultation with Health and Safety staff, as necessary, to assure that all requirements <br />are met, and that all reasonable precautions have been taken to reduce the risk of <br />drowning. <br />3.27.3 References <br />USACE EM385-1-1 Section 19: Floating Plant and Marine Activities <br />OSHA 29 CFR 1926.106: Working Over or Near Water <br />226 Revised June 15, 2018 <br />Copyright 2018 Kleinfelder <br />
