Airport Way, Stockton Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> ROUTINE HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR INSPECTION <br /> "Inspection conducted on July 11, 2011. Report completed on July 14, 2011. Checklist left on site at <br /> time of inspection. <br /> Class I violation: (19) <br /> 19. A 5 gallon bucket of fluoride rinse was observed in the laboratory satellite accumulation area with an <br /> accumulation start date of May 11, 2009. A 55 gallon drum of potassium cyanide was observed in the <br /> Building 1A satellite accumulation area with an accumulation start date of November 9, 2010. A 55 <br /> gallon drum of perch loroethylene/debris was observed in the Vapor/Degreaser area with an <br /> accumulation start date of February 15, 2010. A full 55 gallon drum of chromium mop waste was <br /> observed in the Prime Line room without the date it became full. An additional container of chromium <br /> mop water was observed in the Prime Line room, putting the area over the 55 gallon storage limit. A <br /> black plastic bag of graphite prepreg was observed being stored on top of a full 55 gallon drum of <br /> graphite prepreg being moved from the Fiberglass Layup room, putting the area over the 55 gallon <br /> storage limit. Two 55 gallon drums of liquid waste paint related materials were observed in the Paint <br /> Booth room, putting the area over the 55 gallon limit. hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas <br /> must be accumulated in containers, other than tanks, at the initial accumulation point which is at or near <br /> the area where the waste is generated and which is under the control of the operator of the process <br /> generating the waste. The initial date of accumulation shall be clearly marked and visible for inspection <br /> on each container. A generator shall not hold hazardous waste accumulated at satellite areas for more <br /> than one year from the initial date of accumulation. A generator may accumulate no more than 55 <br /> gallons of each group of compatible wastestreams in each satellite accumulation area. Within three <br /> days of reaching the 55 gallon storage limit, the generator shall mark the container holding the <br /> hazardous waste with the date the satellite accumulation limit was reached and move it to a 90 day <br /> storage area. Immediately begin proper handling and procedures for all satellite accumulation <br /> hazardous waste storage areas. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of <br /> the perchloroethylene/debris, potassium cyanide, and fluoride rinse wastes under manifest and submit a <br /> copy of the manifest to the EHD by August 14, 2011.
