Two boxes of used fluorescent bulbs were observed unlabeled in the Maintenance Shop. Three 5 <br /> gallon buckets of universal waste batteries were observed in the Maintenance Shop and a 5 gallon <br /> bucket of universal waste batteries was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage area without the <br /> words "universal waste.' A generator shall label or mark universal waste with the words 'Universal <br /> Waste' and the type of waste (batteries, mercury containing equipment, lamps/bulbs, electronic devices, <br /> CRTs, aerosol cans). Immediately label these wastes and ensure that all universal wastes are labeled <br /> with the required information. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by August 14, 2011 <br /> along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br /> violation and any supporting paperwork. <br /> "Facility generated 74.26 tons of hazardous waste in 2010. <br /> Note: A red can for solvent wipe daily storage was observed being stored next to a 480V transformer. <br /> This container was moved to a safer location at the time of inspection. <br /> Note: The satellite accumulation full dates are being written on the drum lids. This allows for potential lid <br /> switching and increases the chances of the labeled date being misplaced or faded by the elements.
