A hazardous waste generator shall not treat, store, dispose of, transport or offer for transportation, hazardous waste without a hazardous waste ID number. Go to the DTSC web site http://www.dtsc.ca.gov/[DManifest/PERMHWID.cfm for the form to reactivate the ID number . Immediately reactivate your State ID number and submit evidence to the EHD. This is a minor violation. 102 CCR 66262.11, 66262.40(c) Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste or retain waste analysis on site for 3 years. -When asked about oily absorbent disposal, Mr. Gonzalez stated that"normally we dump it in the garbage can." A determination which takes into account hazardous properties has not been made. -Metal fines generated from metal grinding are being disposed of in the garbage without first determining particle size or hazardous properties. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop disposal of oily absorbent and metal fines to the trash, make a hazardous waste determination for these wastes, and manage them according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Metal particles 100 microns or smaller must be handled as hazardous waste if the metal is determined to be a hazardous waste.
