Corrective Action Statement On March 16,2016 an inspection was conducted of the facility of Evolution Equipment Services by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.This inspection was based on a complaint received to the County Department.Upon receipt of the Amended Violation report that was received to Evolution on March 22,2016 the company then proceeded in the process of correcting the violations that were listed.This is Evolution's Corrective Actions Statement to account the steps that were taken to correct the issues that were brought to our attention by the County Representatives. Some of the violations that Evolution received were items that we were not aware of and corrected to prevent future violations.This statement serves as Evolution Equipment Services Corrective Action Report and notates the steps and actions in correcting the issues and violations found by the County Representatives. After the inspection on March 21,2016 Evolution filed for its EPA number through the State Website. After a week and a half without notification from the state of issuing status of the EPA number,the State was contacted via telephone to find out the status of the application.Evolution Equipment Services was issued the EPA number CAL000415732 over the phone by the State. Approximately on Friday April 15,2016 Evolution received the actual certificate via Mail from the State. The supporting documents are in the compiled report that is being submitted to the County within the 30 days as requested by the County. The corrective actions that were taken for clean-up of oil stains that posed a possible hazard were corrected by removing the oil stained rock and dirt,that rock and dirt being disposed of properly in a barrels from Ramos Environmental Services that was delivered on April 8,2016. On the date of April 8,2016 Ramos Environmental Services also removed oil filters by removing and replacing drums that contained the filters; Ramos also pumped and removed the used oil that is stated in the violation. Please see attached supporting documentation in the response report. The supporting documentation is the BOL Service number 155535 from Ramos Oil of our initial removal and replacement of the drums that contained filters and the pumping of the oil from storage containers. When replacing the barrels/drums they were placed on top of a secondary containment pallet to prevent the possibility of possible unforeseen spill. Ramos Environmental also brought a separate drum for any oil saturated items such as but not limited to absorbent material,rags, rock, dirt etc. In the IPP(Illness Prevention Plan) plan that Evolution has implemented the process of the proper disposal of these such item will be as such going forward: items identified as oil saturated or filters will be placed in its appropriate drums and will be picked up by Ramos Environmental Services or other certified transportation company when called to schedule pick up,the employee that is present when pick up takes place will assure that Evolution receives a BOL and documentation of pick up and manifest as such is submitted to the administration crew of Evolution so that proper record keeping is implemented from this point going forward. Due to Evolution being unaware of the regulation of maintaining records for manifest in the disposal and removal of hazards such as the ones in the violation report issued by San Joaquin County. We are unable to provide such documentation. There was an assumption that as long as Evolution was turning the items into proper approved recycling or return centers,we were within California State Laws in the disposal of the so mentioned items.
