Containers larger than five <br />gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed <br />within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. <br />This is a minor violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />The following hazardous waste containers were observed without an accumulation start date. <br />In storage area one (area closest to the office): <br />-Two black 55 gallon steel drums containing oily debris/oily containers (both over1/2 full) <br />In storage area two (near the lockers): <br />-Two black 55 gallon drums containing oily debris/oily containers (both full) <br />-One black 55 gallon drum containing oily debris/oily containers (3/4 full) <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br />stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br />hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br />under manifest.
