Box 1208 ENVIROMENTAL HEALTH <br /> 551 Carnegie St. FERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Manteca, CA 95336 <br /> Dear Mr. Buettner: <br /> REPORT OF VIOLATION AND SCHEDULE FOR CORRECTION, SHINKO ELECTRIC <br /> AMERICA, INC. <br /> On May 28, 1987, the Department of Health Services (DHS) <br /> conducted an inspection of Shinko Electric America, Inc. located <br /> at 551 Carnegie Street in Manteca, California. <br /> As a result of that inspection, violations of hazardous waste <br /> statutes and/or regulations were identified. <br /> Specific violations and required corrective action are listed <br /> below. Failure to correct the identified violations within the <br /> schedule provided will result in DHS citing you for <br /> continuing/additional violations. <br /> I. Schedule of Violations <br /> Violation #1, Section 66508 (a) , (b) , & (c) , Title 22, <br /> California Administrative Code <br /> (a) A generator may accumulate hazardous waste on site for 90 days or <br /> less without a permit or without having interim status provided that: <br /> (1) The waste is placed in containers and the generator complies with <br /> Article 24 as it applies to interim status facilities, or the waste is <br /> placed in tanks and the generator complies with Article 25 as it applies to <br /> interim status facilities except for Section 67258. <br /> (2) The date upon which each period of accumulation begins is clearly <br /> marked and visible for inspection on each container. <br /> (3) while being accumulated on site, each container and tank is labeled <br /> or marked clearly with the words, "Hazardous waste$', and the additional <br /> language as required under subsection (c) of this section. <br />
