r <br /> I <br /> 1i 3 . 10. Approvals and Decisions. All approvals and decisions of <br /> 21 <br /> the Department made regarding submittals and notifications will be <br /> 3 communicated to PG&E in writing by the Regional Administrator, Toxic <br /> 4 Substance Control Program, Department of Health Services or his/her <br /> 51designee. No informal advice, guidance, suggestions or comments by <br /> 6 the Department regarding reports, plans, specifications, schedules <br /> 7 or any other writings by PG&E shall be construed to relieve PG&E of <br /> 8 the obligation to obtain such formal approvals as may be required. <br /> 9 3 . 11. Department Review and Approval . If, after review of any <br /> 10 report, plan, schedule or other document which PG&E submits for <br /> i <br /> 11 Department approval pursuant to this Order, the Department <br /> 12 determines that the document fails to comply with this Order or <br /> 13 fails to protect public health or safety or the environment, the <br /> 14iDepartment shall either: <br /> 15 a. make modifications to the submitted document (s) as <br /> 16 deemed necessary by the Department, and approve the <br /> 17I document(s) as modified; or <br /> 18 ; b. return written comments to PG&E regarding how the submitted <br /> 19I document(s) need to be revised. Within the time period specified <br /> 20 by the Department, PG&E shall submit a revised document, or <br /> 21 documents, addressing the recommended changes to the Department <br /> 22 for approval . All such approvals by the Department shall be in <br /> 231 writing. <br /> I <br /> 24 ' 3 . 12 . Compliance with Applicable Laws. PG&E shall carry out <br /> I <br /> 25 this Order in compliance with all applicable State and Federal <br /> 26requirements, including, but not limited to, requirements to obtain <br /> i <br /> 27ipermits and to assure worker safety.
