The Maintenance <br /> Supervisor is the first-line supervisor responsible for directing the workflow within the maintenance or <br /> container shop. <br /> REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: <br /> The following responsibilities me general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual <br /> duties required of this position will vary. <br /> • Supervises maintenance shop employees. Participates in hiring,training,scheduling and performance <br /> management decisions. <br /> • Reviews work orders,assigns tasks to employees and verifies the quality of work performed. <br /> Coaches mechanics on techniques and procedures. <br /> • Maintains records of all preventive and corrective maintenance performed and assures proper data <br /> entry into the Computerized Fleet Analysis system(CFA). <br /> • Schedules work to be performed based on routine preventive maintenance inspections. <br /> • Procures parts necessary to complete repairs within assigned limits. Refers larger purchases or major <br /> repairs to Manager. <br /> • Conducts employee observations. Discusses findings with employees. <br /> • Inspects trucks and tools. <br /> • Maintains a safe and productive work environment. <br /> Follow all safety policies and procedures. <br /> Occasionally road tests vehicles to determine repairs needed. <br /> Performs other job-related duties as assigned. <br /> EXPERIENCE,EDUCATION,CERTIFICATION: <br /> Required: <br /> • Equivalent of(1)high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and two years of vehicle/hydraulic <br /> maintenance or welding experience;OR(2)6 years of vehicle/hydraulic maintenance or welding <br /> experience. <br /> • Two years supervisory or lead experience. <br /> • Must meet all regulatory requirements to operate trucks and other equipment used. <br /> Preferred: <br /> • Valid Class A or B commercial drivers license. <br /> • Mechanic school certification and/or ASE certification. <br /> Maintenance Supervisor 7-05 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
