Use Designated Exit Routes <br /> Plans/maps that identify designated emergency exits, routes and the locations of fire extinguishers <br /> and fire hoses are posted in key locations within <br /> Each supervisor, or in his/her absence an individthe Facility. Supervisors are also <br /> responsible for ensuring that any disabled person located in the supervisor's work area is either <br /> evacuated with other employees or is relocated to a designated (on the evacuation map) location <br /> for evacuation by emergency response personnel. Those supervisors whose assigned work areas <br /> include restrooms and other inside rooms are responsible to ensure that those areas have been <br /> evacuated. <br /> 5. Evacuation Precautions <br /> When evacuating during a lire, do not open doors if the doors or knobs are hot. If they are cool, <br /> open doors slowly. If smoke is encountered when exiting, kneel down on the floor attd crawl to <br /> smoke. <br /> escape. Never use an elevator during a lire. Conduct Headcount <br /> Supervisors, with the assistance of employees, are to take headcoui s at the assembly area. <br /> Emergency personnel are to be notified of nares and last known location of any missing personnel <br /> who right require rescue. <br /> Emergency personnel or the lucility manager will snake the decision once a headcount is taken if the <br /> situation warrants a further evacuation.
