Health: 1 (slight)
Flammability: 1 (slight)
Reactivity: 0 (minimal)
and are compatible with this steel tank.
Stored waste liquids in the used coolant tank are not classified as combustible.
These liquids have the following HMIS Hazard Ratings:
Health: 2 (moderate)
Flammability: 1 (slight)
Reactivity: 0(minimal)
and are compatible with this polyethylene tank.
(9) Inspection Prior To Placing In Service:
Report author has no knowledge of system commissioning
activities or testing.
(10)Testing for Tightness:
The waste oil storage tank was tested by the manufacturer for tightness
at an internal pressure of 5.0 psig for 24 hours prior to tank being placed
in service.
The polyethylene construction of the used coolant tank precludes
pressure testing.
(11) Estimated Remaining Service Life:
Ancillary Equipment:
Hoses: 5 years
Pump: 8 years until next elastomer replacement.
Waste Oil Tank:
Provided that no incidents such as fire sprinkler release or roof leaks
occur the service life of this tank is indefinite.
Used Coolant Tank:
Normal design life for a polyethylene tank is 20 years. Because this tank
is still in sound working condition, the remaining service life should
exceed five years from this date.
