Vlll TRAINING <br /> Employee response to fires at the Stockton plant will only involve fires in <br /> their incipient stage. The plant will rely on the local fire department for response <br /> to structural fires. <br /> a. All employees will be trained to familiarize them with the <br /> general principles of fire extinguisher use and the hazards <br /> involved with the initial stages of firefighting which are: <br /> 1. Using approved fire extinguishers which must be readily <br /> and safely accessible at all times. <br /> 2. The placement of fire extinguishers, unless conditions <br /> are extremely hazardous, do not exceed 75 feet for class <br /> A or 50 feet for class B. <br /> 3. Portable units must be maintained in fully charged and <br /> operable condition at all times. <br /> b. Each employee will be informed of the necessary parts of <br /> this plan to assure that he / she knows how to protect <br /> themselves in the event of an emergency. <br /> C. Training conducted will be properly documented and filed <br /> for future reference. <br /> IX ALARM SYSTEM <br /> Each employee will be instructed in the following means of reporting an <br /> emergency: <br /> 1. Immediate notification to supervisor <br /> 2. Call 911 <br /> 3. Start immediate evacuation of employees and patrons <br /> X FURTHER INFORMATION <br /> If any employee has questions regarding this plan, your supervisor or <br /> plant manager should be contacted. <br />
