(environmental@picknpull.com).
• Store empty drums in an area labeled with a sign that says "Empty Drum Storage area"
• Store full drums in an area labeled with a sign that says"Full drum storage area"
• Secondary containments for hazardous waste(where applicable) are to be kept clean and dry. This
helps you better detect potential leaks in the tank systems.
• Hazardous waste tanks (used oil, used antifreeze, gasoline, and diesel) are to be inspected daily for
obvious damage or leaks. These inspections are to be documented in the daily tank inspection logs.
(copies are available in your SPCC plan) These inspections must be retained for at least 3 years.
• Oily absorbent drums: Do not have more than 3 drums at a time in the production area for oily
absorbent. We need to minimize the number of drums with open accumulation start dates. Instead,
have clearly labeled garbage cans of absorbent to hold the following: 1) "Mew Absorbent'this is
absorbent that has never been used. 2) "Partially Used Absorbent'this is absorbent that has been
used but still has useful life and therefore is not yet a waste and by extension not a hazardous waste.
• These are general guidelines and not an exhaustive list. Please contact the EHS department for any
questions you may have. (environmental@picknpull.com).
• Remember to wear your PPE! The PPE matrix specifies what you should wear. The minimum is
safety glasses, safety boots, safety vest/hi-visibility uniform, hard hat, ear plugs, cut resistant gloves,
chemical resistant gloves.
