Proper use of spill response <br /> equipment and materials, and proper reporting and documentation of spill occurrences are also <br /> reviewed under this training topic. The requirements of the Facility SPCC Plan are also covered. <br /> As spills may occur in any areas of the facility, both Sales and Production staff are required to <br /> complete the training. <br /> 2.1.3 Evacuation Procedures <br /> Training regarding evacuation procedures involving hazardous materials and/or wastes include a <br /> review of Facility evacuation procedures as outlined in the Facility EAP. Training includes a <br /> review of the types of emergency conditions that would require site evacuation, evacuation routes, <br /> assigned roles and responsibilities, and a review of identified safe assembly area(s) during <br /> evacuation. Notification and reporting requirements are also reviewed. EAP training is provided <br /> through a computer-based program and an evacuation drill is performed at least once per year. <br /> 2.1.4 Personal Protective Equipment <br /> Minimal personal protective equipment(PPE)requirements in accordance with Pick-n-Pull Health <br /> and Safety requirements are reviewed as part of PPE training. This includes a review of the <br /> importance and proper use of the required PPE to handle hazardous materials and wastes that may <br /> be onsite. Types of PPE reviewed include: eye protection, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, <br /> steel-toed boots, and proper clothing. This training is provided on-the-job and by computer-based <br /> training. <br /> 2.1.5 Hazardous Material and Waste Management <br /> Methods for the safe handling of hazardous materials and wastes are reviewed. Types of hazardous <br /> materials and wastes handled and stored onsite,locations of their designated storage locations,safe <br /> handling and storage procedures, labeling requirements, and applicable record keeping <br /> requirements are included under this training topic. Requirements as outlined in the Consolidated <br /> Contingency Plan, such as emergency response equipment, evacuation procedures, and reporting <br /> requirements are also reviewed(see also Section 2.1.2 and 2.1.3). <br /> Specific training relating to Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous waste training is <br /> included under this training topic. Applicable DOT requirements are reviewed that includes proper <br /> procedures and requirements related to the storage, labeling, inspection, manifesting, and record <br /> keeping of hazardous wastes. A California-specific training is provided to review California <br /> manifesting requirements. <br /> The facility is also a Certified Used Oil Collection Center(CUOCC) and accepts used motor oils <br /> from the public. Specific training on the requirements of the program including proper storage, <br /> SPCC requirements, and record keeping requirements are included under this training topic. <br /> 2.1.6 Stormwater Pollution Prevention <br /> Facility stormwater pollution prevention training is provided as required by the Facility stormwater <br /> permit.
