3 Training Frequency <br /> 3.1 New Employees <br /> Health and Safety training for new employees includes hazardous material and waste training that <br /> is completed within six months after start of employment. This initial training is completed <br /> through computer-based training. In addition, new employees receive on-the-job training that <br /> reviews proper management and handling of hazardous materials and wastes as it pertains to their <br /> assigned responsibilities. <br /> 3.2 Annual Training <br /> Refresher training is provided for the various training topics pertaining to hazardous material and <br /> waste management on an annual basis. Annual refresher training required includes the topics as <br /> discussed in Section 2.1. A training schedule for the various training topics to be completed is set <br /> by the Corporate Health and Safety Department and distributed to the Pick-n-Pull facilities on a <br /> monthly basis. An example of the training schedule is provided in Appendix 3. <br /> 3.3 DOT Training <br /> DOT training is required to be completed every three years for employees that are involved with <br /> the management of hazardous wastes. Employees that complete this training are provided a <br /> certificate that is valid for three years. Training is provided electronically. A list of employees <br /> that have completed the training and received a training certificate is maintained by the Corporate <br /> EHS Department. Copies of training certificates are provided to the employee for their records. <br /> Page 3-1 <br />
