Box 808, L-871 <br />Livermore, California 94550 <br />Dear Mr. Sadlacek: <br />Arnold Schwarzenegger <br />Governor <br />0 <br />On October 28 - 29, 2003, the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department <br />of Toxic Substances Control (Department), conducted an inspection of Lawrence <br />Livermore National Laboratory, Site 300, Tracy, California. The enclosed report <br />describes the findings of that inspection, including all violations and any actions that <br />should be taken by the facility to correct the violations. Please note: The resolution of <br />one of the unresolved issues identified during the site visit has resulted in a <br />class II minor violation being cited. <br />The following violation described in this inspection report was found subsequent to the <br />inspection. <br />1-LLNLS300 violated California Code of Regulations, section 66263.16, in that <br />on or before October 29, 2003, the facility failed to have a training plan as part of <br />the Part B, Operating Plan for Bldg. 829. <br />You are required by section 25185(c)(3) of the Health and Safety Code to submit a <br />written response to the Department within 30 days describing the corrective actions that <br />you have taken or propose to take to bring your facility into compliance. If you dispute <br />any of the violations, you should explain your disagreement in this written response. <br />The issuance of this letter and report does not preclude the Department from taking <br />administrative, civil, or criminal action as a result of the violations noted in the report. <br />® Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
