GENERAL INFORMATION <br />Department of Toxic Substances Control <br />Company Name: Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Site 300 (LLNLS300) <br />Facility Address: Corral Hollow Road, Tracy, California 94550 <br />Telephone Number: (925) 423-1596 <br />EPA ID Number: CA2 890 090 002 <br />Facility Type: Container storage & explosive waste storage facilities (EWSF) & explosive <br />waste treatment facility (EWTF) for high explosive (HE) waste. <br />Regulated Units: Permitted container storage at Building (Bldg.) 883 can store up to 3,300 <br />gallons maximum of hazardous waste. The explosive waste storage facility <br />consists of Magazine 816 (M-816) and five smaller storage magazines. — 816 <br />is limited to non liquid hazardous waste storage with a maximum storage <br />capacity of 9, 240 gallons. The five smaller storage magazines, M-1 through M- <br />5 are also limited to storage of non liquid explosive hazardous waste and each <br />has designated storage limitations which are listed in the EWSF permit (Table 3 <br />from the EWSF permit, may be seen in Attachment H). The permitted treatment <br />activities are located at Bldg. 845-A Open Detonation, and Bldg. 845-B Open <br />Burn (Bldg. 845-A/B, OD/OB). There are also numerous generator storage <br />areas. The 90 -day storage areas are referred to as Waste Accumulation Areas <br />(WAAs). In addition there are a number of locations operating under satellite <br />accumulation regulations referred to as Satellite Accumulation Areas (SAAs). <br />Bldg. 829 is a closed open burn treatment unit and now operates under a post - <br />closure permit. Closure certification was approved in a letter from the <br />Department dated July 7, 1999 (Attachment B). <br />
