No. CA2890012584 <br />Decision Date: July 25, 2007 <br />TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: <br />In accordance with the California Code of Regulations, title 22, section 66270.42, the <br />Department of Toxic Substances Control (DISC) has issued a Class 2 permit <br />modification decision, approving six modifications to the Lawrence Livermore National <br />Laboratory (LLNL) Decontamination and Waste Treatment Facility (DWTF) Permit. <br />Implementation of these six modifications will accomplish the following: <br />1. Discontinue the use of one of the two Shredder/Chopper Units and <br />administratively close this unit; <br />2. Move the Solidification Unit from Building 695 (13695) Room 1036 to B695 Room <br />1038; <br />3. Discontinue the Use of the Gas Adsorption System (GAS), partially close it, and <br />remove it from the Liquid Waste Processing Area in B695, Room 1028; <br />4. Install a removable walk-in fume hood in B695 Room 1025; <br />5. Increase Small -Scale Treatment (SST) capacity from 0.04 short tons per day <br />(st/d) to 0.23 st/d; and, <br />6. Revise the Waste Analysis Plan (WAP) <br />The Permit has been revised to record changes resulting from this decision and other <br />previously approved Class 1 permit modifications. <br />® Printed on Recycled Paper <br />
