No. CA2890090002 <br />Dear Ms. Tran: <br />This letter is submitted in response to two minor violations issued by the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) Site 300 <br />during the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) hazardous waste generator inspection on <br />June 20, 2011. <br />The San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste Program Inspection Report is included with this letter <br />as Attachment 1. LLNL's response appears after each violation, which is re -typed from the <br />inspection report. <br />Violation #1: <br />Storage, #20, CCR 66262.340. Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous <br />waste <br />Hazardous waste labeling incomplete. One 55 gallon metal grey drum of oily solids located in <br />the high bay of Building 875 lacks the type of hazardous waste property, All hazardous waste <br />containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste ", 2. name and address of the generator, 3. hazardous <br />properties, 4. physical state, 5. composition (contents), 6. accumulation start date. Immediately <br />label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the <br />required information. <br />- Corrected onsite. WAA supervisor Ken [Newman] marked "toxic " as the hazardous property. <br />Response: <br />As stated in the inspection report, the violation was corrected onsite. Therefore, no additional <br />corrective was required.
