• i k9 KLEINFELDER
Kleinfelder proposes collecting one grab groundwater samples from the SimulProbe boring at
depths ranging from 60 to 70 feet bgs. Specific sampling depths will be selected based on field
observations of soil and groundwater depths encountered. The single groundwater sample will
be analyzed for the following analyses:
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline [TPH-G] by EPA
Method 8015M
• Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes [BTEX] by EPA Method 8020 or 602
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel [TPH-D] by EPA
Method 8015M/3015
•
Purgeable Organics by EPA Method 8260
• DBCP by EPA Method 8011
Kleinfelder proposes submitting a total of nine soil samples in the UST area, three from each
soil boring at depths ranging from 5 to 20 feet bgs. The nine soil samples will be submitted for
the following analyses:
• Total Purgeable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Gasoline [TPH-G] by EPA
Method 8015M with MTBE distinction
• Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylenes [BTEX] by EPA Method 8020 or 602
• Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons as referenced to Diesel [TPH-D] by EPA
Method 8015M/3015\
• Total Lead by EPA Methods
After collection, the soil samples will be labeled, logged on a chain-of-custody form, and
immediately stored in an iced cooler. The soil and groundwater samples will be submitted to a
State certified laboratory for the requested analyses
The samples will be analyzed on a normal laboratory schedule requiring approximately two weeks
(ten working days) for completion unless the optional rush analytical turnaround is requested by the
client at an additional charge.
Task 3 —Offsite Groundwater Review
Kleinfelder has included information related to the "Lodi Groundwater Site" in our Phase I report
of the subject site, which documents groundwater contaminants in proximity and upgradient of
the subject site. Kleinfelder understands that KB Homes want to conduct additional review of
this upgradient contaminant plume to assess both current and potential impacts to the subject site.
Kleinfelder recommends interviewing project related personnel from the lead regulatory agencies
and the most current documents related to the Lodi Groundwater Site. Based on review and
availability of documentation and pertinent personnel Kleinfelder will include conclusions and or
recommendations relevant to this offsite source of concern.
02001PROP.ENV/ST03PO65 Page 5 of 10
Copyright 2003,Kleinfelder,Inc.
