. k'g KLEINFELDER Task 4 —Reporting Upon completion of the field activities and receipt of the analytical results, a report of findings will be prepared for client and agency review. The report will include; • A description of the field activities, observations, and protocols; • Lithologic logs; • Tabulated results of soil and groundwater samples with copies of certified results; • A graphical representation of soil and groundwater sampling locations; • Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and laboratory work; and • Kleinfelder's conclusions and reconnnendations based on the data acquired. All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment. Therefore, the client shall be contractually bound to make said disclosures in lieu of Kleinfelder, its owners, principals, employees or subcontractors. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS This proposal and the attached cost estimate mare based on the following assumptions and responsibilities: ➢ This proposal will be adequate to obtain authorization from KB Homes. If an additional work plan is necessary, additional charge for work plan preparation will be incurred. ➢ Adequate workspace and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to collect samples at the proposed locations. If the equipment cannot be positioned, alternative sampling methods should be investigated. ➢ Kleinfelder assumes the site reconnaissance and soil sampling can be conducted in approximately three days. If more than three days are required, additional costs may be incurred. ➢ This proposal is based on the presumption that the client will clearly mark utilities and will provide any and all available survey maps or other data to determine the location of existing structures, underground utilities and services. KB Homes should be aware that penetrating the site's surface is inherently risky. I.t is impossible to determine with certainty the precise location of all structures, which may be buried in the ground.
