(Ground Zero) is submitting this <br /> workplan on behalf of Tuff Boy Trailers to continue investigation of the vertical and lateral extent <br /> of contamination at the referenced site. <br /> This document summarizes the work conducted at the site to date and describes the proposed j <br /> methodology to install and sample three shallow groundwater monitoring wells, advance one CPT i <br /> boring to determine lithology further downgradient from the former underground storage tank <br /> (UST), and install one deep groundwater monitoring well based upon the CPT boring. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> Site Description and Hydrogeologic Setting <br /> The project site, currently operating as metal fabrication facility, is located approximately 2 %miles <br /> south of Highway 120, and approximately 3 '/2 miles south of downtown Manteca. The site location <br /> is presented on Figure 1. The nearest natural drainage 'feature is Walthall Slough, located <br /> approximately 11/8 mile southwest of the property. Predominant land use in the site vicinity is <br /> agricultural and rural residential. The elevation of the ground 'surface at the site is approximately 25 <br /> r feet above sea level. The ground surface in the site vicinity slopes gently to the southwest. Shallow <br /> groundwater beneath the site occurs at a depth of approximately 57 5 feet below ground surface <br /> (bgs). <br /> s <br />
