Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. Rags are used for spill cleanup and are <br /> laundered on site without determining the rags hazardous properties. Any person who generates a <br /> waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop laundering the rags on site, <br /> make a hazardous waste determination for the dirty rags, and manage it according tthe Title 22 <br /> hazardous waste regulations. Oily rags can be sent to a commercial laundryequipped <br /> ed to handle this <br /> material. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by <br /> October 27, 2010. <br /> 7. Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. One 55-gallon drum near the diesel tank is <br /> partially full without labelling. Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a <br /> hazardous waste. Immediately make a hazardous waste determination for the waste in this drum, and <br /> manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting <br /> documentation explaining how this waste was managed by October 27, 2010. <br /> 20. One 55-gallon drum with waste oil below the filter crusher and one 55-gallon drum of waste oil in the <br /> repair area are not labeled. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following <br /> information: <br /> 1. the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long the two drums have been on site, immediately <br /> contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of <br /> the manifest to the Environ. Health Dept. (EHD) by October 27, 2010.
