The 500 gallon waste oil tank is labeled "motor oil". All hazardous waste tanks shall be marked with <br /> the words"Hazardous Waste' and the accumulation start date. Immediately ensure that all hazardous <br /> waste tanks are marked with the required information. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br /> waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the Environ. Health Dept. (EHD) by October 27, <br /> 2010. <br /> 23. One unlabeled plastic can is used to store crushed, drained oil filters. Used oil filters must be stored <br /> in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation <br /> start date. Immediately add an accumulation start date and ensure that all used oil filters are managed <br /> in this way. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may store the filters up to <br /> one year. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of lading to <br /> the EHD by October 27, 2010. <br /> 23. Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A <br /> copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all <br /> bills of lading for used oil filters for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br /> EHD by October 27, 2010. Repeat violation from 3-4-04. <br /> 23. Several oil filters were observed on top of the waste oil drum in the repair area. Used oil filters must <br /> be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," and marked with an <br /> accumulation start date. Immediately add an accumulation start date and ensure that all used oil filters <br /> are managed in this way. <br /> Notice to Comply <br /> 14. Spill control equipment not provided. The facility does not have spill control equipment, other than <br /> rags, on site to handle gasoline or oil spills. Immediately obtain spill control equipment for spills. <br /> 30. Four empty 55-gallon drums were observed near the diesel tank. Containers larger than five gallons <br /> that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and <br /> managed within one year of being emptied.
