Chemical Spill <br />Should a chemical spill occur during the decontamination of the <br />equipment, the chemical will be contained by use of asorbant or <br />diking with booms, pada, or other means as required. The chemicals <br />will be solidified, placed into a drum, and left for disposal <br />by others. The drum will be properly labeled and left on-site. <br />2. Personal Injury <br />A portable eye wash station will be brought on-site, telephones <br />are available on-site, and a temporary decontamination area will <br />be set up. Should a person come in contact with a chemical or <br />chemicals, that person will be decontaminated immediately. The <br />site safety officer will administer first aid immediately. The <br />type of first aid administered will depend upun the type of chemical <br />that the person came in contact with. The patient will be crane - <br />ported to the nearest medical facility after initial on-site <br />treatment has been given. <br />5. <br />
