Several unlabeled five gallon buckets of waste solids from the parts washer and an unlabeled thirty <br /> gallon container of oily sludge from the oil water separator are stored next to the parts washer. Mike <br /> Praeder states he takes this waste to the San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility near <br /> the airport. The 55 gallon drum of used oil was not marked with a specific hazardous property. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all <br /> the required information. Class II Violation. <br /> 610. The drum of drained used oil filters was left open and lacked an accumulation start date. Used oil <br /> filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked <br /> with an accumulation start date. Immediately mark the accumulation start date, keep the container <br /> closed unless adding or removing drained used filters, and ensure that all used oil filters are managed in <br /> this way. Drained used oil filters must be disposed of properly within one year of the accumulation start <br /> date. Class II Violation. <br /> 703. An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information is lacking. There must be at <br /> least one emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and <br /> the following information must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency <br /> coordinator; location of fire extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the <br /> phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has a direct alarm. Immediately appoint an <br /> emergency coordinator and post the required information by a phone. A form is provided that can be <br /> used for this purpose. Submit proof of correction to the EHD by 11-7-11.
