Filters were <br /> drained into the secondary containment. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a <br /> fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the <br /> environment. <br /> Immediately clean out the secondary containment and drain oil filters into the used oil storage containers. Manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement to resolve this violation. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 401 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to store hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. <br /> The totes used to store used oil have 2-3 inch diameter holes in the top. Hazardous waste shall be stored in a <br /> container that are in good condition. Immediately transfer all hazardous wastes into containers that are in good <br /> condition or have hazardous wastes properly disposed of by a licensed hazardous waste hauler under a proper <br /> manifest. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> One used oil tote was not closed with the cap screwed on. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all <br /> times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste <br /> containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Three used oil totes were missing the name and address of the used oil generator and the accumulation start dates. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
