Grant St., Ste. 18 Program: HW <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> CLASS I,CLASS it,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> This is a report of the Routine Hazardous Waste (HW) inspection conducted at the referenced facility by <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD). The facility is a small quantity HW <br /> generator, generating <5 tons of HW per year. The following #20,23 are Repeat Violations, and <br /> #11,27,50 are Minor Violations - Notice to Comply. <br /> 20. (Repeat) Observed two used oil 55-gallon containers and one anti-freeze waste 55-gallon container <br /> with no HW labels. <br /> -- All HW containers must be labeled with the following minimum information: 1) Generator name and <br /> address, 3) Accumulation start date, 4) Content, 5) Physical state, 6) Hazardous Property <br /> * Immediately correct the violation as state above, and continue this practice for all HW containers in <br /> the future. Provide evidence of correction to EHD. <br /> 23 (Repeat) Disposal receipts of drained use oil and fuel filters were not kept. Owner stated the used <br /> filters were disposed at Kragen for recycling and did not retain any records. <br /> -- A copy of the disposal receipts (e.g. bill of lading, etc.) of drained used oil filters and fuel filters shall <br /> be retained on site at least 3 years. <br /> * Immediately begin retaining disposal receipts of drained used oil filters and fuel filters on site for at <br /> least 3 years. Please be aware that Kragen is supposed to accept used oil and fuel filters from <br /> residential households, not business. Also, drained used oil and fuel filters may be stored on site up to <br /> maximum of one year. Submit statement how this will be implemented to EHD. <br /> 11. Observed oil stains around the work shop and general oily floor (no puddles). <br /> -- Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of any sudden or non-sudden <br /> release of HW to air, soil, or surface water. <br /> * Immediately begin maintaining facility in a manner that will prevent release of HW to the <br /> environment. Submit statement how this will be implemented to EHD. <br /> 27 Observed the three HW containers referenced above in Item #20 without lid. <br /> -- HW containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing. <br /> * Immediately close all HW containers except when adding or removing at all times.
