materials are prone to be piled up and the driving device overloaded, thus causing the whole
machine to get damaged early.
In order to meet the requirement of the screw conveyor's no-load startup, feeding should be
stopped before the shut -down of the conveyor which may stop running only after all materials
in the shell have been delivered away.
The materials to be delivered should not contain any hard large -block materials or
entanglements, such as ropes and cotton yarns to avoid any damage to the screw conveyor due
to the blockage of the spiral.
During the use, frequently inspect the working conditions of various parts of the screw conveyor
and pay attention to the looseness of the fastening parts. In case of finding any loose parts,
retighten the screw immediately.
Special attention should be paid to whether the screws that connect the spiral tubes and the
coupling spindle are loose. If so, the conveyor should be stopped immediately to make
rectifications.
If any abnormal phenomenon happens to the screw convey during the operation, inspection
should be conducted to eliminate such phenomenon, and no forced operation is permitted.
The running parts of the screw conveyor should be frequently lubricated.
The reducer should be lubricated according to the requirements of the Instructions.
The bearings at both ends of the screw conveyor should be lubricated with lithium base grease,
5g for half a month.
Note whether there is any water leakage to the bearings from time to time. If so, the filling
materials should be pressed tight.
The driving motor reduction box used in this production line should undergo regular
inspection and overhaul. During the use, pay close attention to the flexibility of various
driving parts, analyze abnormal noises and high temperature phenomena that occur during the
use and timely handle hidden dangers, common reducer faults and elimination methods (For
details, see Chapter 26: Operating Instruction for Reduction Box).
The bottom of the screw should be regularly cleaned.
43
