The tank has a capacity of 100,000 gallons. He stated the liquids ran onto asphalt and into the site sumps which
discharge to lined ponds which are under the oversight of the Regional Board. Some discharged into the ditch that runs along the
shoulder on both sides of Howland Rd.
I
I toured the release site with Floyd and took pictures. I left the site at 1:35 p.m.
2/16/2007
I
jI returned to the site as the cleanup was ongoing to remove the crystallized material that was discharged onto the shoulders of
Howland Road. According to John Yanak, the storm drains located in the shoulder area discharged into the lined ponds. I asked that
he verify that as I doubted whether storm drains in the street right of way would discharge to their lined ponds and they do have
unlined ponds as well that likely accept storm water, After looking into it he stated that the storm drains in the street do not discharge
into the lined ponds but into the other ponds. I was told that the company is working directly with the Regional Board on this
cleanup, s
k
F
i
k
I
ER RECORD MODIFIED Page 3of3 02-05-2007 II
S`
f
