To sample each well, a pre -cleaned teflon bailer was attached to new braided nylon line and <br />lowered into the well, filled, and brought to the surface The water in the bailer was carefully <br />poured into laboratory prepared glass bottles which were capped with Teflon -lined caps Sample <br />' bottles were labeled with stick -on labels filled out in indelible ink, with the following <br />information <br />Site name <br />Date collected <br />Time collected <br />Sample ID <br />Sampler's initials <br />Analysis required <br />Any other pertinent information <br />Quality control/quality assurance procedures consisted of the collection of a blind duplicate and <br />an equipment decontamination rinsate sample The duplicate was collected concurrently with <br />sample MW -2 and was given the fictitious well/sample name MW -22 The decontamination <br />sample `(labeled MW -12) was collected from a bailer which had been cleaned by the normal <br />decontamination procedure after sampling MW -2 Deionized water was poured into the <br />decontaminated bailer and then the water was poured from the bailer into the sample bottles <br />This sample serves as a check on the decontamination procedures for the bailer, ensuring that <br />' it has been effectively cleaned. <br />Samples were sealed in a resealable plastic bag and placed with ice in an insulated chest for <br />�i delivery with a Chain -of -Custody document to the WESTON Analytics' laboratory in Stockton, <br />California This laboratory is certified by the State of California to perform the required <br />analyses Samples were submitted for analysis of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene <br />(BTEX) by EPA Method 8020 and for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by <br />EPA Method 8015-M (Table A-4) <br />' TABLE A-4 <br />Sample Analysis Schedule <br />Sample Identification Number <br />Analyses Performed <br />MW -1 <br />BTEX, TPH-G <br />MW -2 <br />BTEX, TPH-G <br />MW -3 <br />BTEX, TPH-G <br />MW -5 <br />BTEX, TPH-G <br />MW -6 <br />BTEX, TPH-G <br />MW -12 <br />BTEX <br />MW -22 <br />BTEX <br />1 STK\RPrS\AREGIQ-rR WP <br />A - 3 05117!91 <br />
