1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> CRC Environmental Risk Management, Inc (CRC) has directed SECOR International Incorporated <br /> (SECOR) to develop this document in a manner which would facilitate the presentation of <br /> fenvironmental data generated at the former Major Mart facility The facility is located at 1235 East <br /> Alpine Avenue in Stockton, California(Site, Figure 1) Title to the subject property is held by Irvine <br />' Service Company <br /> This Addendum to the Summary of Investigation Findings and Closure Report, dated September 30, <br /> 1994 (September Report) has been prepared to address the issues identified in the San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) correspondence dated <br /> October 14, 1994, and to clarify issues presented in the September Report <br /> The Report has been prepared for the following specific reasons <br /> • to serve as a master directory of archived environmental information generated at the Site, <br /> I • to assist with the identification of issues of concern and the response prepared by the <br /> investigators, and <br /> • to present the Site investigation and remediation findings in accordance with Appendix B, <br /> the Tri-Regional Board Guidelines on Requests for Closure dated 1 March 1994 <br /> Subsequently, the Addendum sections that follow are arranged similar to the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) Case Closure Checklist in order to conclude the <br /> closure document process (see Appendix A) <br /> I1.1 PREVIOUS SITE INVESTIGATION AND REMEDIATION ACTIVITIES <br /> An expanded annotated chronology of the previous investigative and remedial activities performed <br /> at the former Major Mart Site is presented below <br /> 0 April 1988, Leaking underground storage tank of approximately 10,000 gallon capacity is <br /> identified as a result of failed tightness test <br /> I • January 1990, RWQCB verbally demands immediate response to leaking tank <br /> • June 1990, Leaking tank is removed by Seibold, a Contractor Soils collected from the <br /> limited soils excavation and analyzed, contain gasoline constituents benzene, toluene, <br /> SECOR International Inc (SECORO) CRC Environmental Risk Management,Inc <br /> N0026 901 01 add 1 November 30 1994 <br /> I <br />
