(a) Metal fines generated from 2 grinders, 1 inside the maintenance shop and 1 outside the <br />maintenance shop are being recycled as scrap metal without first determining particle size or <br />hazardous properties. <br />(b) Sand blast waste is generated in a rubber lined "room". Sand blast waste was also seen on the <br />outside of the roll up door of this building. The waste was allowed to leave the room, and buildup <br />on the ground outside of the building. <br />(c) In the paint storage room 1 gallon roof cement, 1 gallon rustoleum farm equipment, 3-1 gallons of <br />paint were seen with a label <br />"DON"T USE NO USE EXPIRE PAINT NO USE ???" <br />(d) 4-5 gallon buckets outside in the boneyard with liquid and solids in them, 1 labelled OLD <br />RECYCLED PAINT <br />(e) 1 cart full of miscellaneous 1 gallon buckets, quart container, inks with liquid and sludges in them <br />in the boneyard. <br />(f) A green metal bin approximately 3 ft. * 5ft., in the boneyard full of ballasts and a second pile of <br />ballasts seen towards the North side of the boneyard, many with illegible labels. <br />Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately <br />cease disposal of any of the above listed waste to the trash and make a hazardous waste determination <br />or begin handling the waste streams as hazardous waste and manage per the Title 22 hazardous waste <br />regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes was <br />managed by <br />20 & 50. 8 1 -gallon containers of thinners, epoxies, chemical coatings were seen in the paint storage <br />room, without a hazardous waste label. According to Craig these containers were hazardous waste. All <br />hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE ($122). <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />Inspector: <br />Received Sy: <br />_(1Z,EHD <br />itle: <br />0 —4 <br />Ft <br />END 23-0 03 08110!10 CONTINUATION FORM <br />
