A black bucket of used oil was observed in the <br /> chemical storage area with no lid. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or <br /> removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not <br /> adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7(f) Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> Four 55 gallon drums and a 20 gallon drum which previously held hazardous materials were observed east of the shop <br /> without empty labeling. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked <br /> with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. Immediately mark and manage all <br /> empty containers per this section. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> Two 250 gallon totes of used oil, a black bucket of used oil, and a 55 gallon silver steel drum of used oil were observed <br /> east of the shop with no hazardous waste labeling. Three 55 gallon black steel drums of used oil were observed east <br /> of the shop with only the contents labeled. A 55 gallon black steel drum of absorbent and oily solids was observed <br /> east of the shop with only the words 'hazardous waste' and the accumulation start date.
