Containers <br /> larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous material shall be marked as empty with the date <br /> they were emptied and managed within one year of being emptied. The drums were labeled at the time <br /> of inspection. <br /> - A 55 gallon black steel drum of used oil was observed marked only with the contents and the words <br /> 'hazardous waste'. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br /> 4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> The container was labeled at the time of inspection. <br /> - An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information was lacking. There must be at <br /> least one emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures, and <br /> the following information must be posted by a phone: the name and phone number of the emergency <br /> coordinator; location of fire extinguishers, spill control equipment, and if present, fire alarm; and the <br /> phone number of the fire department, unless the facility has a direct alarm.
