The grading and compacting will minimize potential <br /> leaching by eliminating ponding and minimizing rainfall <br /> infiltration. <br /> There is groundwater contamination at the facility, and the <br /> Department of Health Services (DHS) has required further <br /> groundwater assessment and development of a groundwater <br /> remediation plan. A groundwater <br /> monitoring <br /> monitoring ishas <br /> ben <br /> being <br /> constructed, and quarterly g <br /> conducted. <br /> No Public Hearing was held. No comments were received from <br /> the Public Notice on the Modified Closure Plan. The facility <br /> is in compliance with financial assurance requirements. <br /> This Closure Plan conforms with Resource Conservation and <br /> Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations and guidance, is technically <br /> sound, is legally enforceable, and is administratively <br /> complete.
