The perforations will be made by firing four
shots per foot using explosive charges and steel projectiles. Both
vertical intervals will be perforated at the same time. The wire line
will then be removed from the well .
3. An additional volume of cement, approximately equal to twice the
capacity of the casing, will then be pumped into the well under
pressure to force the cement into the annulus of the well through the
new perforations. Pressure will be maintained for 24 hours.
This method of abandonment has been adopted by agreement between DHS,
CVRWQCB and Hargis + Associates, Inc. to ensure an adequate annular seal and
to prevent formation material from entering the well during or after
perforating.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. We are
tentatively scheduled to abandon deep production well DPW later this month.
Sincerely,
HARGIS + ASSOCIATES, INC.
7- (
Terry M.
