Will also keep corporate personnel <br /> apprised of ongoing issues. <br /> • incident team will be responsible for completing a final incident report to <br /> be issued to corporate after incident has lapsed. <br /> ADDITIONAL EMERGENCY ACTIONS <br /> • consult MSDS and/or DOT Emergency Response Guidebook for additional <br /> information <br /> • wear personnel protective clothing including gloves, boots, and faceshield. <br /> • DO NOT touch spilled material <br /> • DO NOT get water inside container <br /> • DO NOT put water directly on spill or leak area <br /> • if necessary, use fine water spray to reduce vapor <br /> • containers with soda ash are located in boiler room, truck shop, and acid <br /> storage area. Soda ash may be used to neutralize all acids except hydrofluoric <br /> acid. <br /> • carefully spread layer of soda ash on acid and allow to neutralize for <br /> approximately 30 minutes. Using tools, place soda ash material into a 55 <br /> gallon drum for disposal. Mark drum to indicate contents. Once area is <br /> cleaned, area may be washed down with water if necessary. <br /> Emergency Response Guidelines for Petroleum Based Chemicals/Waste <br /> Refer to the facility's Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plan (SPCC) to <br /> address releases from an aboveground storage tank, truck, and/or pipeline. Oil <br /> Pollution Prevention Regulations in 40 CFR Part 112 require development and <br /> implement of SPCC plans to prevent the discharge of oil into the navigable <br /> waters of the United States and adjoining shoreline.
