Materials generally stored within this storeroom. are specialty paints used in the production of automotive glass products, aerosol cans of maintenance products, small containers. (half gallon,: pints) of .petroleum based products, and specialty solvents used in the;y;proddction-of automotive glass products. Value Added Production Area This area uses several types of specialty chemicals for various tasks. Limited storage of these solvents and adhesives occur. The specialty adhesives are usually purchased in pint size containers, kept in a refrigerator to maintain shelf life. Several 5 gallon buckets of adhesives are also stored in the area. A fire proof storage cabinet has containers of solvents. Technical Laboratory ' 3 i i The laboratory services the entire. facility. Analytical work is conducted and requires the storage of small quantities of chemicals. The laboratory also' uses compressed gas which is stored in racks just outside the laboratory. Several tests require the use' of radioactive isotopes. The laboratory is permitted to use and store these small quantities of radioactive materials. Boiler Room Generally four to five different types of petroleum based products are stored within the boiler room. Storage is limited;to actually that being used. Several different types of water treatment (for RO system & boiler) chemicals are also found here. The boiler room also has a satellite collection point for waste oil and oily waste solids. j Batch House Storage Room Certain materials are used as glass colorant chemicals.
