PILKINGTON <br /> Procedure = Rev: 5 Date: 5/24/07 <br /> EMERGENCY.RESPONSE PROCEDURES <br /> • the ENVIRONMENTAL Manager or Environmental Coordinator will be <br /> responsible for checking with the appropriate agency(s) to determine the <br /> timing and what type of follow-up reports should be issued. <br /> • a copy of any reports will be sent to the Environmental Affairs department in <br /> Toledo. <br /> Past-Emergency Evaluation <br /> • all emergencies will undergo an evaluation to assist in determining how the <br /> facility responded and to make any appropriate recommendations. <br /> i • the evaluation should consider such things as: <br /> date, time, and type of emergency <br /> • brief description,of emergency <br /> • what regulatory agencies and/or other responders were <br /> notified/participated <br /> • list of Pilkington employees who patticipated <br /> • whether or not there were injuries _ r <br /> k <br /> • whether any public notification/evacuation was ordered <br /> F • how the emergency was'addressed <br /> • type of quantity of recovered waste <br /> • a rating (1-5 w/5 being best) as to how well the facility responded <br /> • recommendations/corrective action <br /> • if the emergency involves outside.agencies,,the facility will solicit comments <br /> from those agencies. 1 1 <br /> • a copy of the evaluation will be sent to the Environmental Affairs department <br /> in Toledo. . <br /> Document Retention <br /> • copies of all reports shall be retained for a minimum of three years. <br /> 909RS003 Rev. 5/20/04 <br /> r <br />
