A red steel 55 gallon drum of used oil filters was observed in the shop without a label. Used oil <br /> filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked <br /> with an accumulation start date. Immediately label these filters and ensure that all used oil filters are <br /> managed in this way. REPEAT VIOLATION <br /> Notice to Comply - Minor violations: (126) <br /> 126. Hot Tank Systems is disposing of parts washer and fly wheel grinder wastes using "invoices" and is <br /> handling these wastes as part of a consolidated manifesting system. The invoices are lacking waste <br /> codes and a waste minimization statement. All copies of each receipt from a consolidated manifesting <br /> procedure shall contain all of the following items: <br /> 1. name, address, EPA ID number, contact person, and telephone number of the generator, and the <br /> signature of the generator or the generator's representative <br /> 2. date of the shipment <br /> 3. manifest number <br /> 4. volume or quantity of each waste stream, its California and RCRA waste codes, the waste stream <br /> type, and its proper shipping description, including hazardous class and UN/NA identification <br /> number <br /> 5. name, address, and EPA ID number of the authorized facility to which the hazardous waste is <br /> being transported <br /> 6. transporter's name, address, and EPA ID number <br /> 7. the driver's signature <br /> 8. a statement signed by the generator, certifying that the generator has established a program to <br /> reduce the volume or quantity and toxicity of the hazardous waste to the degree as determined by <br /> the generator to be economically practicable. <br /> Ensure that future receipts from all consolidating manifesting procedures for any hazardous wastes are <br /> properly completed. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification to the EHD by July 26, 2012 <br /> along with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each <br /> violation and any supporting paperwork. <br /> ALL EHD STAFF TIME ASSOCIATED WITH FAILING TO COMPLY BY THE ABOVE NOTED DATES WILL BE BILLED AT THE CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br /> EHD Inspector.
